Newry Tennis Club

In December 2019 there were 2 Presentation nights held for the club. First of all Rostrevor organised the annual night for all 3 clubs. Narrow Water Castle was a tremendous venue and it was decorated for the occasion. For Newry club, Shane McAteer won Best Male player and Eve Campbell best female player for 2019. There was also a special presentation to Brian O'Hare for Most Improved Player and Sportsmanship award. It was a joint accolade from Newry and Rostrevor.

The clubhouse was the venue as all winners and runners up of 2019 Newry tennis tournaments were celebrated. I am happy to inform you that we had over 30 members in attendance including new members Peggy and Ruairi. Kieran and Russell presided over the enevelopes with special awards to Eve Campbell and Neil McMahon but the main winner was Shane McAteer. Club President Tommy McKeown also acknowledged the Newry tennis year.

There was also a special club lunch at Killeavy Castle attended by Dorothy. Pat, Pauline, Peggy, June and Russell.
